Change is constant, but the degree of change can differ from person to person. Growing up I had the privilege of discovering change in myself as well as those close to me. In this series the change is represented with the layering of two colors, one that masks the individuals’ previous being and the other representing the present. The misplaced pieces throughout the images also suggest change by showing the physical movement and pace that change can have. The images give a newborn feel, similar to the continuous shedding of ones skin layer to reveal the new. The white space surrounding each figure relates to the bare, emerging aspects, as well as presenting a space for change to occur. Each image is configured and manipulated digitally to create an environment that suits each individual.
